Tour Details
Participants must have a passport valid for at least 6 months, including the end date of the tour programme. Holders of special passports are required to obtain a visa on arrival for USD 25. According to current regulations, bringing a drone into Egypt is prohibited.
When planning your flights, please note that our boat will return to Hurghada around midday on 5 December, after the morning dives. Guests flying during the night of 5–6 December will not be able to join the final day’s dives. On 6 December, check-out from the boat is required at 10:00, although your luggage may remain on board.
Rental equipment requested from Bougainville Diving Centre will be delivered or sent to you before the tour. No rental fee will be charged for the equipment; however, any maintenance or repair costs arising from damage to the equipment, as well as shipping costs, are the responsibility of the renter.
Participants must hold at least a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, or equivalent, and have a minimum of 20 logged dives. Some dive sites on our tour are not suitable for inexperienced divers. As this route includes offshore dive sites, participants may encounter challenging sea conditions during the tour. Night diving is not permitted at the Brother Islands.
Depending on weather and sea conditions, or for safety reasons, the boat captain has the authority to change the route, amend the tour programme, and suspend dives. Since 3 or 4 dives may be conducted per day during the tour, the use of nitrox is recommended to help divers reduce nitrogen loading and extend dive times as much as possible. Training programmes will be organised before the tour for participants who do not hold a nitrox certification. Please contact us for detailed information.
All participants are required to have insurance covering treatment for injuries that may occur during diving activities, emergency evacuation, and hyperbaric chamber treatment costs. The insurance fee is included in the tour price. Weather conditions, currents, tides, and the number of dive boats at a dive site may require the tour director and captain to make adjustments to the programme.
No refund will be issued if participants are unable to dive due to personal reasons or because they violate diving rules.
Each diver must have a surface marker buoy, SMB/DSMB. During the dives, entries will often be made from inflatable boats, and drift diving techniques will be used at some of the dive sites. Please contact us if you would like support with these matters.
